I am ready. Ready to start a job I've actually wanted since Jesus was a child. Ready to get back to Crossfit. Ready to show y'all BGA. Ready to blog again, daily. But you know what I am most ready for? Fall. It's my most favorite season because you get to dress like this...

Bo Bikes Bama

This has without a doubt been the longest and shortest year of my life. A year ago today my life was changed forever by the tornado. A new perspective and appreciation for each day the Lord gives. I know the Lord is everywhere in life, but I am certain that He made me see this, this morning. I was told I needed to work on not being so competitve in EVERY aspect of my life yesterday by a friend, and my kitty tail puffed up and I got irritated. Irritated because I knew this person was right. Something I hate more than ANYTHING especially coming from the friend who told me this bit of advice. I had a "HERE'S YOUR SIGN!" moment this morning, and felt I needed to share it. So here I am, tail between my legs. I am going to attempt to live my OWN journey and not compete for the sake of winning. Dammit. Totally hate being wrong.

My Girl Whitney

Today we're going to do something a little different than originally planned because ya know what? Sometimes you need to remember people. Celebrate them. Cry over them. Sing at the top of your lungs to their songs spreading your arms like they do, pretending your voice is that of an angel. No? Just me on the last part? Well, whatever. Today is Whitney's day.

This song has exta special meaning to me. It was my first kiss and my "song" in the 7th grade. Every time I hear it, I think of him and laugh... and smile. Oh, to be young and in luv. It's true though. I totally still love the kid.

Every time I have a new crush, I generally get all weird and giddy. This plays on repeat when I get ready. If any of my guy friends read this, shut up. I'm still a girl.

Another youngin' flashback. This song is in my favorite movie of all time. What movie is that you say? Oh, just my 5th grade graduation video. My parents took it away from me because I watched on repeat in middle school. It was a rough transition time for the kitty. No more recess. No more fun P.E. games.... annyyywayyy.

I could keep posting Whitney videos all day, but I feel like y'all might stop listening after the third one anyway so I will stop here. Such incredible talent though. Such a wonderful Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. An 80's icon. May she be at rest with our heavenly Father, and may her music continue to make me and all y'all dance a fool and remember first kisses.
